Among more than 1310 peaks in Nepal 33 peaks is known as ‘Trekking Peaks'. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) issues permits for climbing/expeditions to these peaks with very simple formalities. As we are a member of NMA, we are also authorized agency to provide the permits of Peak climbing in Nepal and logistic supports for the climbers, promoting mountaineering activities in the Nepal Himalaya -both at National and International levels.
Some Peaks are easy ‘walk ups’, but most of peak climbing in Nepal are technical and can sometimes be dangerous. In general a team of guides, porters, kitchen crews and both kitchen and camping gear are necessary to undertake expeditions to these peaks. Our guides always follow the safe routes and know the signs of danger and also we will give sufficient time for our clients to acclimatize. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has classified 33 peaks in Nepal as 'trekking peaks' ranging from 5650-6500m into Group A comprising 15 peaks and Group B comprising 18 peaks.
US $ 500 is charged as royalty for group size of seven members and US $ 100 for each additional member up to 20 while climbing NMA peaks under group B. In case of Group B NMA peaks, US $ 350 for trekking crew comprising 4 members, additional US $ 40 for up to 8 members, US $ 510 for 9 members and additional US $ 25 for each member up to 12 members need to be paid as royalty.
